Overview

The Learning & Development department is seeking a talented L&D professional to join our team. As part of the L&D team, the our new hire will act as a liaison between our individual offices leads, HR partners and business function leads and be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of L&D strategic initiatives for our offices within North America. 

 

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record as an L&D professional within a complex business model with proven accomplishments in developing and executing on strategic L&D initiatives. Given the diversity of the client group this position requires a leader who has the experience, energy, and discipline to drive change programs in a highly matrix environment.  Please note this is a temporary position to start (working a full work week), with high potential to move into a full time position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development of a Training Plan that includes the design and delivery of strategic learning and training programs/initiatives and tools/processes supporting the business in the areas of: leading/managing, consultative selling, soft skills/team building, marketing fundamentals and digital expertise.
  • Focuses on the development of instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices.
  • Assists in the development and creation of e-learning modules using various e-learning authoring tools.
  • Facilitates experiential learning through engaging delivery that supports desired and related culture change.
  • Leads multiple, large projects and programs with North America Ogilvy Compass Points and Specialty Companies and individual office cross-organizational teams on development, implementation, reporting and continuous innovation and improvement of learning solutions.
  • Participates in the planning, execution and finalization of projects according to deadlines, internal client needs and within budget. Acquires resources and coordinates the efforts of team members and 3rd party contractors and consultants in order to deliver projects according to plans.

Tasks:

  • Program design and development of the following high potential programs:
    • North America Leadership Program
    • North America Rising Star Program (year-long program)
    • Red Ropes Program (entry level program/3-months)
    • Development of a multi-tiered Manager Development Program
    • Marketing basics module development for use by individual offices.
    • Development of Digital training for various levels working with internal experts and outside resources.
  • Development of ad hoc projects based on business needs.
  • Analyzing our training and education needs and working with the Director of L&D for North America on the overall training programs and plans.
  • Evaluating and monitoring the success of the training for each program.
  • Relationship management across each office with office leads, Human Resource professionals and business leads.
  • Help in supporting information gathering for:
    • Weekly team status meetings
    • Project schedules
    • Monthly vendor billing and quarterly NA cross-charging of programs
    • Budget tracking and ensuring training spends adhere to budgets
    • Completion and coordination with team on all NA and Global L&D reports
    • Publicizing scheduled training for NA
  • Launch programs satisfaction surveys and develop programs survey reports
  • Investigation of new and interesting Learning experiences and research of vendors, Consultants and third party vendors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of L&D experience, HR, business education and/or psychology
  • Bachelors Degree required; preferably in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Business,Instructional Design or Education.
  • Proven track record in creating and leading strategic L&D initiatives
  • Excellent presentation and training/facilitation skills
  • Solid understanding of adult learning, instructional design and curriculum development
  • Desire to work in a creative environment
  • Relationship management, coaching, and collaboration skills
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Excellence in execution
  • Effectiveness in building trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Excel, Word and MS Project

  • Some Travel required in North America
