Overview

The ideal candidate brings creativity and effectiveness together – and his/her ideas help create growth for the client and for Ogilvy. Is a brand steward for the account: an advocate for what’s right for the brand both inside and outside the agency. A leader and mentor, offering thought leadership both inside and outside the agency.

Responsibilities

She/he is:

  • An integrated thinker with global experience that can serve as strategy lead for a portfolio of brands.
  • Somebody who has faced challenges which extend well beyond writing a creative brief, from working upstream to craft brand purposes, to architecting communication plans that outline how to engage consumers across channels and re-imagining a brand’s Omni channel experience from the ground up.
  • Able to develop actionable insights that inspire media-neutral ideas.
  • A consummate team player that brings a passionate, positive, high-energy approach to client service and delivering results.
  • Successful at building strong relations with agency clients, account staff, creative directors and other senior managers in the firm.

Qualifications

She/he has to have:

  • 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, strategic planning etc.
  • CPG and International experience.
  • Capable to find and/or synthesize cultural and social trends that affect the brand, regionally and globally.
  • Skilled in finding key insights drawing on ethnography, qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Understand primary research methodologies and secondary research resources that can lead to the development of strategic recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Capable of managing a full, varied workload and delivering high quality work under deadline pressure.
  • Work effectively in a team-oriented environment, including managing and mentoring staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including capability to lead group discussions and give presentations.
