Ogilvy's Chicago office is currently seeking an Acocunt Supervisor to join our team. The Account Supervisor will be instrumental in developing and managing client programs, media and client relations. Serve as key liaison among clients, account teams and agency management. Eager to further develop their understanding of the PR industry as it continues to evolve; learn/grow to become an agency leader. Be willing and eager to accept new assignments or projects when available.


  • Act as day-to-day contact to clients, continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource
  • Proactively manage and delegate responsibilities of daily workflow on account (s) while driving consistent results that work against the client's business objectives
  • Leading the ideation, planning and execution of major consumer/ industry events
  • Manage team action plans/timelines
  • Communicate account status to account management clearly, effectively and regularly
  • Demonstrate proficiency in media relations, writing, and editing
  • Anticipate problems and seek out solutions before problems arise
  • Troubleshoot team, media, or client problems as they arise, seeking senior management input when appropriate
  • Motivate team by promptly reviewing work and providing feedback
  • Conduct weekly client and team meetings
  • Strive to develop the best communications and presentation skills possible to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and others
  • Work closely with senior management to provide guidance to team members on program execution, team issues, client issues
  • Participate in development of new business materials and opportunities
  • Manage account finances, such as budget trackers, team hours and billing



  • Experience pitching top-tier, trade and local media
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

  • Experience at a communications/ marketing agency
