Overview

Social Lab is seeking a digitally-savvy Social Media professional to join the New York team to focus on social media analytics. He/she will be responsible for collecting and interpreting social data through a set of tools to inform creative and strategy development. Social Lab leverages social media expertise across all Ogilvy disciplines from advertising to experiential, PR and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor social media conversations that are relevant to clients based on topics, sentiment, product category, marketing activities, audience insights, market trends, etc.
  • Analyze social media conversations through a set of tools (Crimson Hexagon, FB Audience Insights, Profiler, Page Karma etc.) based on communication briefing
  • Prepare reports that translate data into insights, implications and strategic recommendations to inform strategic process
  • Work closely with clients and account teams on the development of social media programs, strategies and creative ideas
  • Assess and identify influencers through a set of tools based on their relevancy to the client and initiative.
  • Track performance of various social media initiatives and develop recommendations to improve business results

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience or internship experience in the social media communications space
  • Keen curiosity and passion for quickly-evolving social media landscape (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat)
  • Experience setting up and pull relevant data from leading social listening tools and platform’s backend, such as Radian6, Sysomos, or Netbase, Facebook Business Manager
  • Outstanding research and analytical skills; ability to glean analytic conclusions based on data
  • Creatively charged and enthusiastic when working on social projects and in interactions with clients and team members
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work effectively and proactively within a team setting
  • Able to develop clean PowerPoint presentations quickly
