Ogilvy Public Relations seeks a mid-level communications professional with specialized experience in project management, writing and creative development for public-facing initiatives to join a project team in Ogilvy’s Public & Risk Communications group. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a network of risk communications, issues management, community outreach, partnership building, and engineering experts to tackle one of the nation’s greatest hazards: flooding. Flooding is the most common and costly natural disaster in the United States. As a part of this team, you will help communities reduce their vulnerability to flooding, save lives, and protect their financial stability.

Based in Washington, DC, this full-time position will work collaboratively with colleagues locally, FEMA Headquarters, and 10 regional offices nationwide to raise understanding of local flooding vulnerabilities and transform that knowledge into action to reduce risks at the local level. Among stakeholder audiences are Federal officials, State and local officials, community planners, emergency managers, professional groups, businesses, and local residents.
For this role, responsibilities include:
