    Ogilvy New York is looking for a Senior Director, Connections Planning. This talent will be a pivotal member of the Engagement Planning team. With a background in both media and creative agency, bring creativity, innovative solutions to the way we go to market and be a force for change and growth. It’s about seeking a new way for our clients to more effectively connect with their markets and consumers.

    Responsibilities

    • Strategic lead for key agency accounts and interaction with C-Suite clients
    • Support new business efforts and act as agency thought leader at industry events.
    • Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction for all communications planning
    • Break conventions and focus on the consumer to lead us to relevant connection idea
    • Strive to create customer centric, date-driven experiences that make brands more meaningful and central to people’s lives
    • Collaborates with internal teams, including account leaders, creative, brand and engagement planning, Digital, Social, marketers, analysts, producers to drive the development of connections planning that achieve business goals
    • Unearth insights that better inform how to communicate and connect with high potential targets market
    • Innovative to explore new territory, audience and to exploit that opportunity
    • look at communications as ideas and activities that can change behavior, influence attitudes, perceptions and inspire new thinking
    • Able to look at the market opportunity, define the target in fresh and innovative ways, and know how to take full advantage of media capabilities to reach them
    • Provide strategic rigour to the implementation of a campaign

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree in Business a plus)
    • Both advertising agency and media agency experience is mandatory
    • 10+ years of experience
    • Prior experience in strategic planning at a leading Digital and/or CRM agency
    • Proven client relationship management and business development abilities
    • Proven track record of leading ideation
    • Demonstrated talent for abstract thinking, spotting trends and patterns, an innate curiosity and insight into human behavior, an instinct for popular culture, and a nuanced understanding of creative work are critical.
    • Experience developing and building acquisition, cross sell, retention, and loyalty programs across a variety of engagements and industries
    • Experience working with Fortune 500 Clients in both B2B and B2C environments, retail and finance experience is an advantage.
    • Strong command of most forms of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and working knowledge of when and how to apply them to a given client challenge. 
    • Creative mind and ability to inspire and instigate ideation across disciplines and departments.
    • Great presentation skills and ability to lead large teams in brainstorming sessions.
    • Demonstrated talent for abstract thinking, spotting trends and patterns, an innate curiosity and insight into human behavior, an instinct for popular culture, and a nuanced understanding of creative work are critical.
    • The ability to work across different engagement groups and disciplines is key to their success: Digital, Social, CRM, Media, Content and Analytics, to drive integrated engagement platforms.
    • Proficient in customer engagement technology and media platforms, and understanding of database models.
    • Previous experience at integrated agencies working with integrated accounts preferred
