  • Overview

    Ogilvy│FKH is seeking a communications professional with high potential and a demonstrated interest in healthcare to join our Health & Wellness Group. Our new AE will provide support for strategic communications and activities for several clients throughout the firm. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple assignments and clients with a high degree of success and independence. They will also enjoy working in a smart, dynamic, entrepreneurial, client-focused, team-oriented environment.

     

    Our new AE will have the opportunity to work with innovators and disruptors at the forefront of healthcare innovation. Our uniquely diverse healthcare clients include emerging biotechs, global pharmaceutical companies, government agencies, advocacy groups, medical device and diagnostic companies, policy organizations and more.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage day-to-day client account work, including writing various communications materials (i.e.: press releases, fact sheets, media backgrounders, web content, power point presentations)
    • Maintain client and media contact
    • Manage projects in a collaborative environment
    • Act as liaison between client, outside partners/vendors and internal teams
    • Implement tactics that support client strategies
    • Demonstrate strong team/collaboration skills
    • Monitor and manage client budgets and the financial performance of individual client relationships

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
    • 3 years of experience (internships or co-ops included) in public relations or corporate communications, preferably in the healthcare industry
    • Understanding of the communications function, including how media engagement, awareness campaigns and other PR elements can help achieve communications goals

    • Detail oriented, with strong writing, editing, researching and organizational skills

    • Social media experience a plus

    • Ability to translate complex concepts to variety of audiences

    • Experience in management of client relationships

    • Excellent computer skills with a high-level of comfort using Word, Excel and PowerPoint; prior experience with Cision and/or Factiva a plus
