  • Overview

    Ogilvy seeking a PR New Business lead for the US market. This leader will oversee all PR-focused New Business pitches and prospecting initiatives across the region. Ogilvy has aggressive growth plans for the USA market, and the PR Business Development Lead will be a key figure in the strategy and execution of those goals. Within our wide client portfolio and range of offerings, this professional will be excited to represent the PR function and understand the potential and additive value PR and earned media brings to all client requests. The successful applicant will be the USA representative on the global capability’s growth team and will work regularly with a peer in UK/EMEA, Asia and LatAm to enable multi-country growth opportunities that involve PR & Influence.


    Active Pitching:

    • Craft compelling proposals and responses against RFP and prospective client requests  
    • Lead and manage pitch teams through the development of pitch deliverables and materials.
    • Work in partnership with cross-functional PR teams across Ogilvy USA, to establish and execute a new business PR process.
    • Work within an integrated team model across a range of pitches and briefs, representing where PR can provide unique value
    • Develop an efficient internal process for timely responses across the wide range of PR offerings
    • Hold a deep understanding of client’s PR needs, internal capabilities, key internal stakeholders and competitive agency landscape
    • Qualify leads and cast appropriate pitch teams against the client and business needs
    • Develop a system to craft and organize best in class case studies and pitch submissions



    • Devise and execute prospecting strategies to grow new business pipeline and target new clients
    • Build relationships with and educate key prospects on the Ogilvy suite of integrated PR solutions


    • 8-10 years of experience, which has been dedicated to PR agency-side business development
    • A modern thinker who understands integrated, cross functional pitches and the role PR can play across the pitch
    • Depth of expertise in PR marketing landscape, channels and platforms
    • BA/S or equivalent in relevant field required
    • Demonstrate excellent written skills for RFP requests
    • Strong leadership and collaborative qualities. Ability to work with senior leaders as well as work within an integrated new business team.
    • Has an intimate understanding and experience in areas such as consumer, corporate, healthcare, private sector and crisis-PR
    • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team, with a commitment to teamwork, and thrive in a sensitive, fast-paced, constantly evolving and entrepreneurial environment.
    • Key characteristics that are essential to the team culture: roll-up your sleeves, can-do attitude, a confident, dynamic, and passionate individual, with a passion for PR, and desire to keep up with the latest PR-related industry news and trends
    • Must demonstrate a track record of winning PR assignments for agencies.
