Responsible for conducting market research and analysis on various client and/or projects, including competitive research, market research and primary research such as interviews. Based on research, data and collaboration with the client and other personnel, makes preliminary recommendations on strategic marketing communications issues including positioning and branding strategies, recommended marketing communications programs, target audience, etc. . Interacts with client and participates in key client meetings including messaging workshops. Works with internal teams to ensure that creative executions incorporate strategic insights. Monitors/tracks the success of the programs to demonstrate customer value as well as to ensure that the strategy adapts to important client and market changes.
Marketing Research and Analysis: 35%
Review and summarize client background materials (“the box”)
Perform communications audits
Perform competitive research, market research and situation analysis.
Develop Preliminary Recommendations: 20%
Develop conclusions from market research and analysis including communications audit summary conclusions, positioning hypotheses, interview guide conclusions, etc.
Develop recommendations for client integrated marketing communications plans.
Client Interaction/Meetings: 10%
Attend and participate in marketing messaging workshops and strategic review sessions.
Attend and participate in key client meetings related to deliverables.
Manage Interview Process: 25%
Develop interview guides
Create findings report with input from Marketing Strategist or Director of Strategy
Interact with assigned team and develop relationships in keeping with expressed objectives and company culture. In so doing, support a respectful workplace where ideas are sought and considered, initiative is encouraged and all employees are treated fairly.
Track, record and submit on a daily basis all time worked in accordance with company policy.

Reports to Director of Marketing Strategy
Develops and maintains strong collaborative relationships with Account Service and Creative team members, as well as other SMEs.
Works closely with creative team to ensure that deliverables reflect strategic findings.
Works closely with client project managers to manage to budget and schedule, disseminate strategic learnings, and work with client throughout a strategy engagement.
Works closely with executive team to execute marketing effort.
