  • Overview

    The Digital Asset Librarian will play a crucial role in the execution of acquiring, uploading, and tagging creative assets while assisting in maintaining the organization of a global Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. The Digital Asset Librarian maintains a strong commitment to customer service, is extremely detail oriented, persistent in maintaining organization, and works cooperatively with the AMS Manager to meet business objectives and requirements.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for sourcing and facilitating the proper cataloguing of global creative assets
    • Assigning appropriate metadata to ensure accurate usage rights are captured
    • Assisting in the enforcement of corporate security procedures
    • Verifying version control of files
    • Using systems to accurately track usage rights and expiry dates on any rights managed assets
    • Working closely with internal agency counterparts to ensure the successful location and retrieval of assets
    • Maintaining a consistent ability to organize large volumes of assets that change at a rapid pace
    • Enforcing appropriate naming taxonomies and metadata schemas to assets ingested into the system
    • Assisting in the archival of assets where necessary
    • Maintaining accurate procedures and records for the system when needed
    • Locate all existing images and copy within client/Ogilvy systems consult Production Designer & Editor as necessary)
    • Properly tag all assets and auto upload to all systems (AEM, Xinet, BOS Assets)
    • Source SEO keywords
    • Feed elements requiring edit to Program Manager
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required (Library science concentration a plus)
    • 1 to 2 years of relatable experience
    • Basic knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
    • Mac OS proficient
    • General understanding of the different file and media types used in Marketing/Advertising
    • Thrives on process and is not scared to enforce workflow
    • Methodically consistent approach to repetitive tasks
    • Ability to work alongside various departments within an agency environment
    • Ability to organize large amounts of data at a high level
    • Calm and productive under pressure
    • Accuracy and acute attention to detail
    • Ability to learn new skills and software quickly
