  • Overview

    Ogilvy PR/Chicago is seeking an Account Supervisor to help manage and execute strategic public relations programs for multi-faceted clients in the corporate practice.  Work with a close-knit team of PR professionals in a fast-paced, fast-growing environment for a top 10 marketing & communications firm. Serve as main contact on large accounts and play a strong supporting role in new business efforts. Independently develop and manage projects/programs, including implementing plans, on deadline and on budget.     Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide day-to-day support on multiple accounts 
    • Draft client-facing materials such as presentations, messaging, recommendations and news releases
    • Provide leadership in developing and presenting new business programs for potential and existing clients 
    • Manage staff to maximize productivity and individual, team and financial performance 
    • Financial administration and management of projects 
    • New business support 
    • Consistently identify and pursue opportunities for enhancing personal involvement and contributions to accounts, team and agency

    Qualifications

    • 4-5+ years of public relations expertise 
    • public relations, communications, or a related field, experience 
    • Corporate association and/or financial communications experience 
    • Familiarity with investor relations and financial communications 
    • Issues and crisis management experience 
    • Media relations strategy 
    • Excellent written and oral communications skills 
    • Strong research and analytical critical thinking skills 
    • Entrepreneurial approach to work 
    • Superior organizational skills, project management skills, and attention to detail 
    • Seasoned client leadership and counseling skills 
    • Team-oriented, ability to manage and mentor teams 
    • BA/BS

     
    Preferred Qualifications:

    • PR agency experience
