  • Overview

    The Recruiter will be part of Ogilvy’s centralized Talent Acquisition team. The team is comprised of professional recruiters and is a fun and engaging group to work with. Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, this person has responsibility for full life-cycle recruitment through the identification of external passive (and active) candidates for roles in Account, Strategy, Public Relations, Media, Technology, Production, Finance and other roles agency wide. This individual will recruit for roles from entry through senior levels within the firm. This individual will be expected to handle all aspects of recruiting including name generation, recruitment, screening, market intelligence gathering, write-ups, etc. 


    • Strategically produces candidates through all means necessary. In particular, this individual must be comfortable with all aspects of recruiting with strong communication skills both verbally and written, in order to properly engage candidates.
    • The individual will have access to a variety of tools including LinkedIn Recruiter, iCims (mining internal search database) and outside resources; direct sourcing; networking; and attending industry events
    • Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates. Proactively builds pipelines of diverse talent related to key business and hiring initiatives across the divisions, as well as for high turnover and hard to fill.
    • Monitors industry trends and new business initiatives in competitive industries, shares information with the team as appropriate, and maintains data in Talent database (iCims) on a real time basis


    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 3+ years of experience in hiring/recruiting or Human Resources related role
    • Knowledge of recruitment practices, relevant job markets and research processes
    • Knowledge and experience of the Advertising and PR industries preferred
    • Must be an expert in various sourcing techniques (i.e. internet search, cold calling)
    • Excellent relationship management skills. Ability to interface with senior hiring leaders
    • Knowledge of applicable employment laws and practices (i.e. OFCCP, AA, EEO)
    • A problem solver who can adapt to various situations and personalities
    • Must be able to work in a team environment, with a sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize
    • Strong project and process management skills
    • Experience with applicant tracking systems, job boards, social media sites, etc.
    • Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
