  • Overview

    This is a key role leading the roll-out of a new marketing performance program for a global client in the financial industry.  The ideal candidate will have robust mix of technical, project management, and communication skills and will provide a strong voice for data driven insights to inform clients managing global and local marketing programs.  This position is a member of Ogilvy’s Data Analytics capability, a diverse group of specialists who ensure data is at the heart of Ogilvy’s work.


    Major facets of the role include:

    • Design & build a new marketing performance dashboard
    • Manage ongoing dashboard data refreshes and quality assurance
    • Identify and present actionable data-driven insights


    • Collaborate with client and agency partners to define and document dashboard requirements based on business & marketing objectives
    • Create data acquisition plan and coordinate collection of necessary data for dashboard development
    • Design dashboard templates & visualizations
    • Build functioning dashboard according to requirements
    • Manage extraction of data sets from multiple marketing/database platforms and perform hygiene and quality control steps. Data sources could include: web analytic tools, media analytics, customer databases, social listening tools, search tools, syndicated data, research & survey tools, etc.
    • Work independently to mine dashboard for actionable insights and collaborate with agency partners to develop solutions to drive better performance
    • Develop presentations that clearly communicate findings in the right business context for technical and non-technical audiences
    • Act as primary point of contact for training dashboard users and addressing questions


    • 3-5 years experience in an analytical role, preferably in a client servicing capacity at an agency, consultancy, etc.
    • Experience with data extraction & transformation using tools such as: R, Python, SAS, SQL, SPSS
    • Experience with data visualization tools: Tableau, Datorama, Power BI, etc.
    • Experience with a diverse set of marketing data platforms, such as: Doubleclick, Google Analtyics, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Sales Force Marketing Cloud, etc.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to define and manage project timelines, including contributions from agency partners and clients
    • Ability to manage time effectively to set and meet client deadlines across multiple projects simultaneously
    • Knowledge and applied experience in integrated, multi-channel marketing/advertising campaign tactics – including off-line and online/digital channels
    • Must be a team player with experience working on a cross-functional team
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills)
