    Ogilvy is looking for a digital and social savvy Director to be part of its growing West Coast team, you will be responsible for leading the West Coast’ social team’s work from our LA office. The role consists of providing insights-driven strategies, strengthening client & partner agency relationships, collaborating with cross-departmental teams, while growing the business and mentoring your teams.


    The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial spirit, is able to lead and execute multi-discipline projects that are heavily digital and audience journey based in nature, and can think creatively to solve problems. Specific experience with paid, owned and earned media in the digital environment is highly desired.



    • Lead multiple accounts to develop integrated digital and social media strategies that transforms client businesses.
    • Build strong relationships with clients, provide exceptional service, and create a deep understanding among the team of clients’ needs, goals and priorities.
    • Inspire, motivate, and mentor your teams, while providing best-in-class digital + social marketing counsel, while contributing to the career growth of your team members.
    • Drive quality of work, innovation and training through content, distribution, platform and influencer strategy.
    • Participate in and/or lead new business efforts
    • Identify and help sell-through incremental campaign opportunities to clients, that help them achieve the most efficient returns & results on their overall marketing dollars
    • Collaborate with team leads of other departments and offices (Account Leads, Creative, Production, Analytics/Insights, Media) to improve and execute on integrated client deliverables, from strategy and concept, through to execution, while adequately representing client interests
    • Nurse the relationship with the different platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Pinterest.
    • Develop thought-leadership for internal and external partner
    • Help facilitate internal transformation at Ogilvy to fulfil on our next chapter agenda


    • 10-12+ years of working in the digital / social agency space
    • Must have passion for the quickly-evolving digital + social media environment, and must have experience recommending and implementing integrated digital campaigns
    • Understand and be well versed in paid media and measurement across social, digital, and the broader marketing mix. A working knowledge of Google, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat and Twitter’s Ad products is essential
    • Able to understand the client’s business and connect business value to social strategy/tactics
    • Strong storytelling, written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex strategic campaign concepts in streamlined, logical and well-designed decks.
    • Entrepreneurial hustle to get things done, dealing with last minute requests, and must be results oriented – able to drive the process forward and quickly problem solve.
    • Collaborative, upbeat demeanor and warm personality that contributes to our strong culture and will work well across teams, including: Creative, Project Management, Media, and Analytics -- from initial brief and brainstorm, to campaign execution and measurement
    • Be able to foster an environment that encourages risk-taking, innovation and creativity
    • Outstanding research and analytical skills
    • Proven track record of leading major accounts and exceptional client service skills
    • Experience leading and managing growing teams
    • Demonstrated ability in successfully managing agency retainers and revenue forecasting
    • Influencer relation experience is a plus
