    The Client Finance Analyst provides financial support to client account teams and monitors budgets on a project basis.  This position will report into Client Finance Manager.  Job responsibilities include assisting in the creation of job estimates, budgets and client staffing plans, ensuring adherence to contract billing policies, providing summaries of monthly billing and reconciliations, and assisting with financial analysis and reporting as required.  This is an excellent opportunity for a smart, ambitious individual who takes pride in the work they produce, looking to continue gaining experience within Finance & Accounting – or looking to learn Finance within the advertising and marketing industry – at one of the top ten marketing communications firms worldwide.


    • Oversee Client Accounting functions including client approvals, invoicing, budget tracking and general/SOX compliance
    • WIP / AR management
    • Provide financial support to client Account teams and monitor client budgets on a project basis
    • Provide financial information to various Account teams and clients as required
    • Internal and external team relationship building
    • Provide client financial analysis in the review of monthly results
    • Assist in the creation of job estimates, budgets, and staffing plans
    • Open and manage jobs in coordination with local and regional teams
    • Assist with resource management via SAP tool
    • Prepare and post journal entries to general ledger accounts in relation to month end close
    • Assist in the preparation of client labor and reconciliation reports
    • Secure client P.O. or necessary work/payment authorizations and ensure adherence to contract billing policies and workflow procedures, as well as monitor accounts receivable status and follow-up on aged balances with client
    • Lead and participate in financial meetings
    • Participate in the coordination and submission of all internal and external periodic reporting to Corp Headquarters and/or parent company (actuals, budgets, re-forecasts, balance sheet variance analyses, interest, foreign currency, special year end reporting items/YE reporting packages)
    • Assist in inter-company payables and receivables
    • Assist in all internal and external Audits
    • Participate in any and all Sarbanes Oxley initiatives
    • Perform reconciliations and analyses of key accounts and coordinate next steps with relevant teams
    • Participate in Ad Hoc projects as assigned


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
    • 6+ months of related financial analysis and/or accounting experience, preferably within an advertising, marketing, PR or service industry environment.
    • Finance/Accounting knowledge (Balance Sheet, A/R, P&Ls, etc.) While this isn't an accounting position, understanding accounting principles is crucial. 
    • A positive outlook and imagination
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent experience with MS Office, especially Excel. Creating and using complicated spreadsheets are part of everyday work, so the ideal candidate should be very computer adept and a fast learner of new applications.
    • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
