  • Overview

    Position Summary 

    Our Project Managers are responsible for the day to day program management on their client account(s).  For this role, we are looking for a digitally-savvy project manager who is comfortable working with the client to understand digital requirements, leading development teams, working with digital workflow approaches, and digital project management tools.  This role is a highly organized and accountable leader, who can build relationships and collaborate with peers to draw on the expertise of Ogilvy’s vast resources and capabilities.  They partner with tech and strategy teams to deliver operational discipline and delivery excellence, speed to market, resource optimization, and profitability management to their business(es).

    Responsibilities

    Here’s what you’ll be doing to lead Agency and Client growth

    • The key day-to-day project contact with lower to mid-level clients, creative teams, tech teams and other agency partners
    • Managing client objectives, expectations and timelines and communicating changes/directions to internal team members
    • Working integrally with all internal team members to facilitate the process of developing effective strategies and technology tools
    • Influencing the efficiency and quality of work and advocating for the agency/client relationship
    • Owning project management and workflow system data entry and reporting – including digital project management tools like Jira
    • Translating product and brand information into digital sales enablement tools
    • Mobilizing and driving the integrated team towards forward progress, action and results
    • Effectively presenting work to the client from a delivery standpoint
    • Identifying potential project risks and developing contingency plans
    • Developing and maintaining high levels of team effectiveness (trust, communication, collaboration, productivity, diversity, engagement)
    • Understanding staffing and scoping requirements
    • Owning the client budget and working with senior team members to manage costs and deliverables as well as staffing resources
    • Understanding and respecting every department’s role in delivering great work & building relationships
    • Serving as a mentor/coach and/or direct manager to more junior team members and supporting the development of these team members

    Qualifications

     

    Here’s what you’ll bring to the table

    • 5-7 years of related, client facing industry experience managing “the making” or delivery of great work, primarily for digital projects
    • Ideally, several different account experiences delivering programs in at least 3 different territories (B2B, technology, employee engagement, sales enablement, marketing activation, demand generation)
    • Proven negotiation skills
    • Ability to take complicated information and distill it into succinct, straightforward strategies
    • Experience forming strong client relationships at the lower-to-mid-levels
    • Demonstrated capability to get things done on budget and on time
    • Demonstrated digital acumen, and an understanding of how to scope, schedule and manage digital projects
    • Demonstrated ability to translate client requests into requirements for a digital team, and participate in development team work sessions
    • Developing commercial abilities & business & financial acumen
    • An understanding of the dynamics and workings of the agency’s process as it relates to the client’s business
    • Strong internal relationships (particularly with creative and digital teams)
    • Accountability and calm, confident presence
