    Our Account Supervisors bring value to our clients by passionately and professionally representing the agency on a day-to-day basis.  They are the trusted partner and point of contact for mid-level clients. partnering with account leadership to deliver operational discipline and delivery excellence, speed to market, resource optimization, and profitability management to their business(es). An Account Supervisor must possess a mastery of all core public relations skills, including writing, editing, media relations, pitch development, and message development, and have experience in developing communications plans, account management and client relationship management. Account Supervisors are efficient operators, who demonstrate strong commercial abilities and business and financial acumen. They are highly organized and accountable account leaders, who are able to build relationships and collaborate with/draw on the expertise of all Ogilvy’s capabilities. Account Supervisors add value by interrogating every client brief and assignment, and striving to solve our client’s larger business problems, not just the immediate request at hand. They act courageously and with conviction and collaborate with/draw on the expertise of all Ogilvy’s capabilities. This particular role sits within our consumer public relations practice and does require media relations experience. 


    • The key day-to-day media strategist with internal strategy leads, creative teams and other agency partners
    • Contribute to strategic counsel and development of communication plans with a focus on earned media outreach, influencer and/or paid integration strategies leveraging key milestones, trends, and consumer insights
    • Manage media partner/vendor relations as it relates to product launches, research, events and other program initiatives
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions, and evaluate creative ideas with an earned-first lens from clients and internal agency team members/partners
    • Develop and execute media relations strategies, including identifying and developing outreach opportunities, drafting media materials and pitching to the media
    • Strong ability to develop messaging and drafting stakeholder communications, including press releases, presentations, pitch materials, fact sheets, etc.
    • Develop content and digital influencer collaborations, drafting social posts,  
    • Manage client objectives, expectations and timelines and help set priorities with client and internal agency stakeholders
    • Effectively presenting work from a delivery standpoint
    • Understanding staffing and scoping requirements
    • Support client budget to manage costs and deliverables
    • Owning project management/workflow system data entry and reporting
    • Identifying potential project risks and developing contingency plans
    • Serving as a mentor/coach and/or direct manager to more junior team members and supporting the development of these team members
    • Developing and maintaining high levels of team effectiveness (trust, communication, collaboration, productivity, diversity, engagement)
    • Understanding & respecting every department’s role in delivering great work and building relationships


    • 5-7 years of related experience leading media strategy (earned, owned, paid), and outreach at the client and/or agency level (agency experience preferred)
    • Ideal candidate with possess B2C, B2B, retail, CPG experience with specific experience developing media strategies related to food. Knowledge of product launches/placements, brand recall and consumer business preferred.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of client and Agency operations and working knowledge of Ogilvy’s capabilities
    • Strong background in earned media strategy, media relations, within the context of PR programs and provide strategic thinking to internal team clients
    • Experience using Influenceres in communications campaigns
    • Experience using social media in communications campaigns
    • Strong skills in consumer insights, media analysis and reporting, and trend identification
    • Understand client strategies and develop integreated media strategies as needed by working with account leads
    • Understand client business and communication goals and the firm’s strategic plans to meet those goals
    • Digitally fluent, with an understanding of the complex, fragmented media landscape and how to build solutions to drive results for the client
    • Curious, a lifelong learner

    • Experience forming strong client relationships at the lower-to-mid-levels
    • Demonstrated capability to get things done on budget and on time
    • Developing commercial abilities & business & financial acumen
    • An understanding of the dynamics and workings of the agency’s process as it relates to the client’s business
    • Strong internal relationships (particularly with collaborative, integrated team)
    • A good listener, someone who reads people and those in a room well (and adapts their style and response accordingly)
    • Accountability and calm, confident presence
