Overview

Our Project (Program) Managers are responsible for the exceptional delivery of our products for partnering with client services to deliver operational discipline and delivery excellence, speed to market, resource optimization, and profitability management to their business(es). Program Managers handle a wide range of assignments, projects, and/or clients with a high degree of success and independence. They take responsibility for the projects they manage, demonstrate leadership skills, and have strong internal team relationships.

 

Project/Program Managers provide initial analysis and potential solutions for new processes/solutions that lead to client growth by collaborating with and drawing on the expertise of Ogilvy’s vast resources and capabilities. They advise and partner with client services, strategy, creative, production, media, and analysts as champions of flawless creative execution.

Responsibilities

 

  • Growing/protecting margins along with client services - including joint ownership of locally agreed targets
  • Understanding and anticipating client needs; taking them into account when framing and making Delivery decisions
  • Working with Group PMO to ensure right resource allocation and management on any given program/project
  • Drafting and owning Delivery project plans (timeline, budget, scope of work, staff plan) spanning client services, strategy, creative, production, media, measurement
  • Accurately identifying types of work and scopes, timing, difficulty of work and defining the processes necessary to get things done; simplifying complex processes
  • Support the project management/workflow system with data entry, reporting, and initial analysis (e.g., capacity plans, resourcing, financial projections)
  • Demonstrating strong collaboration skills with internal agency team and key external partners, including creative partners to ensure quality and adherence to production guidelines for key deliverables
  • Effectively and impartially navigating teams with conflicting priorities.
  • Mentoring team members including associates and interns, assigning clear responsibility for tasks and decisions; setting clear objectives.
  • Mobilizing and driving the integrated team towards forward progress, action, and results
  • Developing and maintaining high levels of team effectiveness (trust, communication, collaboration, productivity, diversity, engagement)
  • Supporting development of best practices across the team
  • Ensuring high quality delivery process and execution
  • Understanding/ability to activate agency matrix and portfolio

Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of experience with managing programs across several accounts
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills with peers, supervisors and clients. Is sensitive to style differences among others and makes adjustments to own style when working with different people.
  • An appreciation for how great work gets done and a commitment to ensuring flawless creative execution
  • Innovative mindset and change agent who is never satisfied with the status quo
  • Demonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic environment through flexibility, resilience and a positive outlook.

  • Works well under pressure
  • Manages time for optimum productivity, understanding appropriate time commitments on projects
  • Experience with Smartsheet or other project and resource management tools a plus
  • Agency experience required
